The son of legendary Joy Division and New Order bass pioneer Peter Hook, Jack began playing bass himself at the age of 12.
As well as always holding a desire to follow in his father's footsteps and become a musician, Jack was a diligent and keen student academically, excelling in modern foreign languages. Jack holds qualifications in French, Spanish and Italian, as well as having also studied Portuguese and Catalan.
Music was always Jack's main passion, and he played in various bands with his friends during his teenage years. In 2010, at the age of 20, Jack was asked by his father to join him on stage for a concert - it was then that Peter Hook & The Light was born. Despite initially only planning to play 1 show in Manchester to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures' album, one sold out night quickly became two, and the band have been touring across the globe ever since.
To date, Jack has played over 750 live shows all around the world with Peter Hook & The Light - from Brazil to Mongolia, Australia to Japan, and everywhere else inbetween! The band have gained a reputation for high energy, 3 hour shows - please check out the press section for detailed reviews.
