6 string bass used on tour with Peter Hook & The Light. Many of Peter Hook's signature riffs & a large part of his tone came from these guitars - these very same models are used when recreating them at live shows.
Yamaha BB734A
Main live bass used with both Peter Hook & The Light and The Smashing Pumpkins on their 2018 - 2024 tours. The bass is used in active mode when playing with Peter Hook, as this guitar is then equally adept at providing the necessary low end to play Joy Division songs, plus the high end for those latter day New Order tracks. With The Smashing Pumpkins, the bass is used in passive mode to provide a warm, well rounded & consistent bass sound.
Yamaha BB2024X
Another main live bass during the Smashing Pumpkins 2015 North American tour. These basses were customised with Seymour Duncan Antiquity Jazz pickups.
